Minjia Hu (2017)


Minjia obtained her B.Sc. degree from the Beijing Institute of Technology (Beijing, China) in 2014, and now is a Ph.D. student at the University of Alberta (Edmonton, Canada) under the direction of Prof. Jillian Buriak. Her work focuses on the functionalization of porous and flat silicon surfaces, especially modifying the surfaces with silicon-chalcogen bonds, Si-E (E=S, Se and Te), and studying the change of work function and surface dipoles of the flat silicon. Besides doing research in lab, she also loves photography, playing sports and cooking.
