Torsten John (2017)


Torsten graduated with a B.Sc. (2012) and M.Sc. (2015) in chemistry from Leipzig University (Germany). He moved several times to Australia to undertake research projects at RMIT University (2012), Monash University (2013) and his master’s thesis at The University of Queensland (2014/15). In 2015, he started his Ph.D. research at the Leibniz Institute of Surface Modification in joint collaboration with Leipzig University (Germany) and Monash University (Australia). Torsten is currently working on the aggregation of amyloidogenic peptides near interfaces using biophysical and computational methods. He is active in the German Chemical Society and board member of its young chemists’ section.
