Sanaz Khorasani (2017)

Sanaz completed her Ph.D. in 2014 under the supervision of Prof. M.A. Fernandes at the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa. Her Ph.D. mainly focused on the synthesis of organic charge-transfer complexes followed by solid-state reaction in single crystals in which the movement of reacting molecules was monitored at the atomic level. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow hosted by Prof. D.C. Levendis at the same university, working on developing techniques involving organic solid-state reactions for the synthesis of materials for application in molecular electronic devices. Her research interests include crystal engineering, solid-state reactions, polymorphism, molecular electronics and computational chemistry.
