Joseph Zadrozny (2016)

Joe was born in Virginia in 1984. He completed his undergraduate studies in 2007 at Virginia Tech, where he investigated the magnetic properties of tunable coordination polymers under the guidance of Prof. Gordon T. Yee. From there he ventured to the University of California, Berkeley for his Ph.D. with Prof. Jeffrey R. Long correlating electronic structure to magnetic properties in low-coordinate metal complexes. Joe is currently a postdoctoral fellow at Northwestern University in the laboratory of Prof. Danna E. Freedman. As a postdoc, Joe is bringing the unique perspective of a synthetic chemist to the development of spin-based quantum computers.
